You're all set.

Here's how to use AI Chat Archive — about a minute, walks through everything.

1

Open any conversation on Claude.ai

Go to claude.ai and open the chat you want to save. The extension activates automatically — no extension account, no setup.

2

Click the floating Export button

Look for the orange ↓ Export button at the top-right of the Claude window. A menu opens with PDF / HTML / Markdown / JSON / TXT — pick any format and the file downloads. Or click Choose messages… to keep only specific turns.

The AI Chat Archive format menu open with Choose messages…, Markdown, HTML, PDF, JSON, and Plain text options The Select messages picker dialog open with All / Last turn presets, two messages checked, format dropdown, and Export button
3

Pick a format → file saves locally

Click Export this conversation. The file lands in your default Downloads folder — clean, paginated, ready to share or archive. Nothing uploaded anywhere.

Want everything at once? Bulk export.

Click the AI Chat Archive icon in your browser toolbar (next to the address bar) → Export all conversations (ZIP). You get a ZIP with one file per conversation plus an _INDEX.md table of contents — and with Include attachments on, each conversation becomes its own folder with images and code bundled in.
